00 buick century 3.1 70,000mile just had a head job done, car is missing on # 1 and 5 cyclinder, wen i tighten the rocker arms i have no compression, but wen i lossing it then i got compression i change the valuve and seal as well

There are two different size push rods on that engine. The longer ones are for the exhaust valves. If you have an exhaust push rod switched with an intake push rod it can cause the problem you are describing. Usually you will bend a valve when you get them mixed up.
