01 holden barina opal idloling rough loss of power dash lights and gage pins cutting in and out this is not constant some days it's extremely bad other days it runs perfect or cuts in and out at random. Iv replaced coil pack, the oxygen sensor post cat, airflow sensor. Has anyone had these issues and able to help please. The shop said might be the ecu which will cost $1200 and may not fix it and considering it's not constant just at random. before forking out that much I would rather try other methods
Hi Chloe It sounds like you have replaced most parts that may have created this fault not a lot left appart from ecu. However this is not a definate fix. I'm assuming you haven't taken it to a Holden dealer having replaced so many parts. The only advise i can give without seeing your vehicle is to take it to a Holden Dealer. "Some" Holden dealers have test ecu's in there workshops and may be able to fit one if they feel it is required as part of there diagosis before fitting a new ECU. As you say the cost of a new ECU is high. Good luck
