My uncles rio needs motor mounts replaced. where are they at? I'm used to working on trucks not little cars, so if any one has any tips for installation it would be appreciated.
Your uncles car is a front wheel drive engine whether an auto transaxle or manual transaxle, the motor rubber mounting support is on the side of your engine and transmission near the shock absorbers normally attached to the front collision mounting frame
You can do that by loosening the bolts and nuts of the old mounting support and jacking up the engine from the engine oil pan an inch or two to ease the removal of the old support using a 1/2 inch wood as support so as not to damage the oil pan.
