1 amp hooked up to my 13w7. I have had this for several years with no problem. Now all the sudden the low ohm light comes on when i turn it up and the sub makes a popping sound. The techician from jl audio said it was the settings. I haven't changed anything, so maybe it was bumped or something. What should the settings be at or what can i do to change this?

Hi, It's not a major problem, actually it happens to all amps when you first install them, all you need to do is adjust the input sensitivity level, it's a small screw type adjusting button ( see the attached photo), you cant really say where you need to have the adjusts, you just have to adjust it according to your stereo output, what you can do is try changing it a little bit and then then turn up the audio keep this adjusting/testing process till your speaker doesn't turn off when it's all the way up. try this and write me back the result if it doest work, there might be more stuff to adjust. it's very easy. Best
Also make sure the 'Output Polarity' switch is on 'Normal' and 'Input Voltage' switch is on 'Low'. Comment back if your problem is not solved, we'll work it together here. Good! now that you've done that, try having the ' Bass EQ' on ' On' position, after that the first thing you need to adjust to get the bass you expect is turning up the 'Boost db', but you have to keep adjusting it till it has enough boost and not a noisy bass, also try adjusting the 'Amp LP Filter' buttons and volume, have the switch to different positions and also keep turning the 'Filter Freq (Hz)' till you get the required bass you are looking for. As you know it's just the adjustment of those knobs to make it inline with your stereo output and give you a desired bass output. Also try having the ' Input Voltage' on 'Low' and adjust the input sensitivity, remember that this is the part that draws the line between having a powerful bass and too much bass which will turn off the system again, it's a very simple trouble shooting just need you to play it patiently till you get the desired output you want. Give it a try and let me know if you need more advice.
