1 and two jl w3v3 2ohm subs
Hi,
Ok, so I recently purchased a new jl 500/1 and two jl w3v3 2ohm subs. I took it to the shop and they installed both subs for me. This is how they configured it.. http://www.geocities.com/diekronz/untitled.bmp - I used paint to create that image.. sorry if it looks "1st grade like".
Anyhow, he installed the subs in a standard dual sealed box.
THE PROBLEM: When I turn up the music, the subs begin to POP (one more so than the other). I went back to the store i had originally purchased the subs and they replaced them with another set - brand new, out of the box... and the pop continued once i turned the volume up on a song that had some decent bass. I originally thought it was the box.. but we replaced that too and it continued to pop.
I was reading up on ohms and how subs should be confingured to amp's and I'm guessing the guy just didn't install everything correctly. He basically told me that the subs have a 'break in period' and to not bump the music for a week until the subs are broken in properly. So, here I am, three days into having my system and I can't turn the volume up =/ I don't think the guys who installed my subs/amp knows what he's talking about.
I'm restless at this point.. Any ideas would be very helpful. Thank you for your responses in advance.

No connection are good + to + -to - thats all that matters. either the speakers are blown or you need a stronger amp. since you already tried speakers probably need bigger amp. definitley not the box. no such thing as a break in period, are the subs 10 12 inch or what. you could try to bridge them too that means hook both up to the same +-terminals, 2 wires per screw. it usually isnt the way they hook them up, its the wires fuses etc that cause problems. what guage wires is the speaker wire, the power line etc. if you give me these guages i might be able to get somewere
