1 but no output
My son ran this amp with the low voltage yellow indicator on until it just quit working.
I traced all the wires and found a half corroded ground connection wire that was reused from a previous 10 year old install.
Replaced the ground with a new one and got a green light for power with no output.
There is zero signs of anything burnt inside the amp and no burnt smell.
The speaker wires are 18" long 12 ga and hooked up correctly to the sub.

Its the power transistors that would be affected by low voltage. It delivered till it finally gave up 'cos the output wattage to be generated at low voltage means more current flowing through the equipment. This high current will adversely affect all small solenoid valves & transistors and IC's. Even failure of one section of any IC is rarely detectable with the naked eye. It has to be thoroughly checked with a multi-meter to assess the damage correctly......sodeep
First of all it has to be checked with a multimeter to determine which components are damaged and nowadays the power transistors have been replaced with IC's. So try to repair it only if you are familiar with repairing electronic equipments...............sodeep
