1015 OMT CD Infrared remote control problem
I recently installed a remote control kit on my 1015 OMT CD Jukebox that I ordered from Wurlitzer. After I installed it per the instructions that came packaged with it it did not work properly. After you made any kind of selection using the remote, be it a number for a track or turning up the volume or muting the sound it would continue to execute the same command over and over again. like if you turned up the volume it would just keep going up until you made another selection with the remote then it would continue to execute that command until you selected another. I called the distributor I bought the remote kit from and they called Wurlitzer and determined it must be the kit they sent me so they sent me another remote control kit which I installed and it worked correctly for a couple of hours then it too began to do the same thing. I am curious if I have a defective ribbon cable or computer of something and if there is a way to check it? I have tried the few things I can think of to remedy this but none of it has worked. I have had more trouble with this jukebox than I care to admit to. Any hints would be appreciated.

The fault you describe is one I have seen before. Last time I saw it, it was caused by the remote control unit being faulty (the hand held bit). So if you changed the kit then you are still using the same remote hand held bit and getting the same fault.
I have never established if this works but try hitting the volume button and then threwing the remote into another room or wave it behind the wall of a doorway so the infrared has no direct line to the jukebox. If the volume doesn't continue to increase....that proves the point one way or another.
