12 hr. then comes back on and starts talking and receiving . Power is on for the entire time but radio don't receive or transmit. Had two technicians check for problem, one found nothing, one said it was sorder joint and fix that, but once back in truck 2 hrs. later it cuts off again. I know another driver having same problem same type radio. Is there anyone who can tell me how to fix this?

Well it does sound like a bad solder joint around your crystal,crystal is what gives you your freq.or channels.All I can do to help you without it being on my bench is to tell you to take the screws out the top of the radio,run the radio and when it quits lightly push on the top of the radio and see if that helps,if so it is a bad joint just find a cb shop that will take the time to find it.These are great radio well worth fixing.
