14 lost power. Power input line appears to have arced (white power line and wire nut show signs of stress). The power breaker did not throw at the junction box. Already cut back wire and re-attached new wire nut along with replacing the breaker at the junction box. Still no power. There are no other visible signs of power stress or water damage underneath the unit or inside the doo panel
I do not have access to the user or service manual for this model. However, such symptoms could be result of heater element or thermal overload fuse blowing. Do you remember having a very hot dishwasher when the it lost power.
Usually the thermal overload relay blowing would isolate power inside the unit. Are you able to check volts at any of the controller pins?
Be careful when you are tracing the pins as some points may have mains voltage coming in.
Please let me know if you are making any progress or not. cmmiuser01.
Check for power at the outlet itself. If you have power there then you need to proceed to the juction box where the wires arced. Test for power at the lead coming in from the wall to the juction box. If you have power at this lead then your problem is in the dishwasher itself. The motor could have gone to groung shorting out the system. Good luck will check back in a couple of hours to see if you have received this
Hi Thanks for using FixYa. Please check for the following if your dishwasher is not working-- 1. Fuse (blown or tripped). 2. 120 VAC supply wiring connection faulty. Repair or replace wire fasteners at dishwasher junction box. 3. Electronic control board faulty. 4. Motor (inoperative, check resistances). 5. Door switch (open contacts). 6. Door latch not making contact with door switch. 7. Touch pad circuit defective. 8. No indicator lamps illuminate when START or OPTIONS is depressed. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance. Thanks Rylee
If the lights on the control board are functioning however, its still not working then it is the Control board that has gone bad. If the keys are not operating then its the touch pad circuit that is bad. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.
