14.1VDC going into inverter but no ACV coming out. Red fault light is on. Disconnected fan motor and checked with meter and shows open even on high ohm scale.Are Xantrex fan motors known to go bad?If the fan is bad could there be something else wrong in the inverter that caused the fan to go bad? thanks for your help. If you don't have enough current to run the inverter, even at 14.1 v, it will go into protection. Make sure the wiring is heavy enough to provide the current needed to run the inverter. There should be a label on the fan saying what vosges it needs to run. Try powering up the fan outside the inverter.
