1987 Ford Escort GT tail and brake lights not working
I have a 1987 Ford Escort GT and the tail and brake lights just stopped working the other day. The bulbs are good and the fuse is good. The turn signals and emergency flashers also work. It was raining when this happened but as far as I can tell the circuits are fine and nothing got wet. Any ideas??

It is the light box. You know the pulley you use to turn lights on and off??? that goes bad all the time. Replace that and your gold.
