1991 dodge stealth...manual transmission- problem started with 2nd gear, grinds. However not always? It's almost as if the actual shifter is loose. Is that possible? Now 1st gear is hard to get, no grinding though...is it me?
There are many record cases of hard shifting on 1st and 2nd unless the vehicle is store indoor. There are three action items you can take on. ==== Check the linkage under the shifter. Use PB Blaster to clean put the linkage. Dry off the excess and apply white lithium grease to lube on all linkage. ==== Check for worn motor and transmission mounts. You will need jack and jack stand to lift the vehicle for inspection. ==== Stealth ES or Stealth R/T? Where is the vehicle home base? If the temp is never below -40F then go with Amsoil 70w80. Please give me an update AFTER you switch over to Amsoil 75W90.
I have to remove the unknown gear oil weigh (90W? or 80W90?) as a contributing factor to the case. Please give me an update AFTER you switch over to Amsoil 75W90. I have to remove the unknown gear oil weigh (90W? or 80W90?) as a contributing factor to the case.
