1992 EAGLE TALON
MISSING BADLY, ALL THE TIME,IDLE, ACCELERATION, CRUISING. I CHANGED PLUGS, WIRES, OIL, IT IS BECOMING HARD TO DRIVE, IT IS ALMOST IMPOSIBLE TO DRIVE WHEN NOT WARMED UP, SOMETIMES EVEN WHEN WARM IT JUST CONVULSES WHEN TAKING OFF OR SHIFTING FROM FIRST TO SECOND, I HAVE TO REALLY GIVE IT GAS TO TAKE OFF SMOOTH. SOMEONE SUGGESTED O2 SENSER? I REALLY NEED TO FIX THE PROBLEM, I JUST CAN'T FIX A PROBLEM I DON'T UNDERSTAND. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME AND KNOWLEDGE.

Make sure your plug wires are installed correctly. in the 2.0 16 valve dohc motor from the front to the back of the coil it goes wire 4 1 2 3. check to make sure you are getting spark on all your wires. also check your timing and make sure its correct there is a certain wire that you have to ground before the timing is accurate, its a small wire located behind the battery on the firewall it works best to use small alligator clips. i think the timing supposed to be 5 degrees advance. if all that checks out i would try a new cam position sensor ( be sure to time your motor after you replace it, adjusting the cam sensor is how you adjust the timing. check your injectors with an ohm meter. if there is nothing wrong with all that i would try a new or different ecm
i recommend a haynes manual it tells you how to do all of that besides replace the ecm, which is just a few bolts and its located behind the radio but you get to it by taking off the side panels not the radio. and i belive it tells you how to test the o2 sensor if you wan2 go through with that also
