This is a interference motor. If the timing belt broke the valves will have fallen in to the cylinder and you will need over hall. Yes it is true so you will also need a head to this motor . call a local repair shop to confirm . If it is a SOCH or DOCH 2.0 I am sure of it . Now you can get lucky but it is rare. if it sounds like a sewing machane when you try and start it then it is broke for sure.
