More likely it is jammed in 4WD. If the 4WD selector is in the 2WD position then the chances are that you've wound up the transfer case. To fix this you might be able to reverse the vehicle (sometimes for quite a large distance) to unwind the transfer case. If this doesn't work you will need to take it to a properly qualified and licensed service centre and depending on what damage you've done it could be quite expensive.
