1995 Grand Cherokee 4.0 does not shift out of 1st.. Bought this truck about 2 Years ago for 800 Bucks and she only had about 132.000 under her wheels-- Now she has about only about 148.000.. About two mouths ago the transmission stopped shifting into O/D-- I wasn't concerned about it because I just drive her around town.. About two weeks ago a rubber hose came loose on one of the transmissions cooling lines and dumped all the fluid-- I fixed that and replaced the fluid and it seemed to OK.. The other day the transmission began to slip out of gear-- I checked the fluid level and it was low.. The ATF I had available was the not was not the rite oil but I used it anyways.. Could I just need a flush and filter with the correct oil? Other than that she runs great!!
