1995 Land Rover Defender 130 300TDi settings
This vehicle is a manual and we are going to adjust the rear diff to take out the freeplay (very clunky).
We need to know the torque setting etc. to ensure the job is done correctly. Please, please help!!

Check your side shafts first,wear on the drive splines are the most likely cause.Adjustingthe rear diff is quite a tricky procedure and you need to use a dial gauge to measure freeplay on the crownwheel.See what your nearest transmission specialist can do for you , he may give you a warranty on his repair and this will be cheaper in the long run.
