Sounds like you have a direct short somewhere. You need to trace the wires down on that side from the light itself all the way up to the harness. It could also be a loose connection on a ground wire. Physically check all the ground wires that you can. Unplug the light and start there with the ground in that socket. Sometimes they look like they are tight but physically check every ground under the hood. Other than that you might have to have a professional look at it.
