1996 300 tdi discovery.. wife rang tells me pulled off road, can't get any gear, i got there get all gears no problem with engine off, get no gears with engine running,no previous gear problems at all,any suggestions welcome

Ive only seen this one other time on a diesel. what happened to ours the center hub of the clutch disk broke with no warning. it seems the high torque of these engines are ******* the clutch disk. sure hope this helps a clutch job is alot cheeper than a transmission.
