1996 chevy pick up seat belt onpassenger side is
1996 chevy pick up seat belt on passenger side is locked up. can i repair this myself or does it have to be replaced. this is an extended cab, the problem is on the front passenger side. when i go to buckle up, the belt comes across my waist then it locks up before i can fasten it.

May have folded when recoiling. You won't really know if it can be fixed until you see whats the matter with it. My advice is remove it pull the belt until it stops examine the belt if it is folded you should be able to correct it. If their is a problem with the mecanism then you would be better to replace is. These things are sensitive and it's probably just worn out.
