1997 chevy tahoe engine dies when brake applied hard, starts back up. After 6 months must spin motor longer to start. Now cranks and spins well but won't start
5.7 v8 never throws a code. mechanic changed crank sensor and fuel pump. May have needed crank sensor but i dont think fuel pump(too new). Got it started took it to mechanic only after r/ring crank fuse in pass. compartment. truck still dies now needs less brake pressure to die(dies every 4 or 5 firm brakes) Also tahoe had almost no spark before I pulled and replaced fuse.

Quit throwing money at it..Do a compression test on the cylinders. Anything over 10 years or really high miles, and has running problems. I do this first thing.
Check for a vacuum leak in the brake booster on pedal application
