1997 gmc safari awd Idles fine, but accelerating when the engine is cold, sputters and jerks until the engine warms up. Then runs fine. Service engine soon is always on. Transmission shop says ok
Code is p0712. It codes that I have a short. Does anyone have a wiring diagram and picture of what I am looking for?

Have they given you the code for the service light?
I called GM directly. they tell me there is no part called a transmission fluid temperature sensor. Is there another name for it? The P0712 code is the only code showing.
If you google it, there is such a sensor. I had a problem with a carbuerated Chevy, was a 1994. Choke pull off. Easy fix, but if fuel injected, check the code on the web.
