1997 lincoln still need more insight on what could be causing the constant hesitation when I just barely touch the gas pedal
I had a Lincoln Master tell me it may be the TPS. I was wondering if there could be anything else that could cause this problem my wife will not drive the car because of this hesitation ANY OTHER INFO WOULD BE GREAT THANK YOU BILL W

Dirty throttle body will cause hesitation. Brake clean and a tooth brush. Clean inside around where the plate sets and the back of the plate. Start the car( it will take a second or two). Then rev it up and spray some of the brake clean in the throttle. Also check the air filter. Replace if dirty.
Timing could also be the distributor or gear on it.
Sorry I didn't get back to you been busy working the job and such anyway I have coil packs on this so no distributor and no way to set the timing its all done by the computer. What i'm going to do is change the wires and TBS and see if that does anything I'll let you know what I find.. Thanks again Randy Bill W>>
