1998 ford ranger 2.5 mazda engine with 8 spark plugs: here is the issue, truck ran great before work was done, I replaced the timing belt, ign wires, spark plugs, thermostat housing with sensors as a preventive maintenance, also the tb gasket in order to get to ign wires, makes it easier, since then I have a very weird misfire, at low speeds very low speeds when in second it will misfire , but when I push the clutch in n let it back out it straightens itself out, since then I have redone the tuneup with wires and plugs again, no difference, replaced the coil and switched the 2 coils, no difference, checked fuel pressure, fuel pressure is good, replaced fuel filter a few days before the tup so that's new, I noticed the other day that if I push the throttle to the floor get the rpms up to about 4 to 5 grand and release it when the idle comes down to about 2 grand it misfires and straightens itself out, so I replaced the iac, no difference, tried a maf, no difference, sprayed everything down for vaccume leaks, no leaks....need help please, im at my end thankl you
the misfire can happen randomly at idle on first start up only on cold soaks......at idle when vehicle has been idling for awhile and it comes and goes so quick by the time you have the hood up its gone.... and what i have noticed that if you are to raise the rps quick and let go fo the gas pedal let the rpms come nack down it will misfire at about 2k and only last for about 4 seconds and smooths out, also when the misfire happens when im in second gear at low speeds as in under 15mph if i push the clutch in n release it again it smoths out....if it was timing it wouldnt be as random as it isthe misfire can happen randomly at idle on first start up only on cold soaks......at idle when vehicle has been idling for awhile and it comes and goes so quick by the time you have the hood up its gone.... and what i have noticed that if you are to raise the rps quick and let go fo the gas pedal let the rpms come nack down it will misfire at about 2k and only last for about 4 seconds and smooths out, also when the misfire happens when im in second gear at low speeds as in under 15mph if i push the clutch in n release it again it smoths out....if it was timing it wouldnt be as random as it is

Sounds like your timing is off. remove your timing cover and check your timing marks.
