1999 buick century odometer light does not work
1999 buick century odometer and gear selecter light does not work. Can part of the speed sensor go out? could this be a fuse or do I have to take dash apart.

This is a common problem and the dash cluster must be removed and sent out for repair, cost is about $175 to replace the LED (Light emitting diode) display that has burned out, this is a faxtory defect as far as this expert is concerned, it is not a fuse problem.
I own this same car and this is the fix, sorry u don't like the cost, I don't build them just try and supply the information at no cost to u to get them fixed, please change the rating, it is unfair.
Thanks, I finally found an answer to this issue. Noticed a lot of other buick owners with the same problem have posted to this site--glad you took the time to answer this for us. Hopefully, posting this comment will bump your answer to the top of the search list.
Thanks!

Remove the console cluster (4 screws and a >
Open and remove the circuit board
Locate 4 resistors right side four are under each other. They are the small circuit resistors but the ones from radio shack will work. Some will be gone, others fall off with a touch.
Bend leads of new resistors, cut to size and solder in place.
Reverse order to re install
Test , wow brighter then ever.
