1999 honda prelude why is a little red light appearing under my speedomiter
As I was driving home tonight I had a little red light appear under my speedometer, I've looked a lot of places. I think it might be for my oil but I'm not entirely sure.

Check the mileage and if it is close to 60.000miles or100.000 klms I suspect it may be a warning light telling you that the timing belt is due for a change.
I have high mileage. I'm at almost 234,000. But when I bought the car I had a mechanic look at everything so that I wasn't buying a piece of poo. Said it would last me another few months. I understand wear and tear. It's normal. Just can't figure out what it is. And how expensive it's gonna be cause I'm in the process of moving
At 234.000 I would think that the belt is due for replacement again. Talk with you mechanic and go on his advice. Be cautios on this because if it is a belt time indicator then by ignoring it you will be looking at big dollars.
