1999 Lincoln navigator. blower motor housing has only two pins for the connector running from the pwm to the housing. From what I have read it doesn't contain a resistor in the housing but a blower motor speed control module under the hood somewhere. If this is true does anyone have a clue of where it is found

The resistor is usually mounted in the plenum because of the amount of heat that is generated. Look behind the glove box at the whole housing for the HVAC and check for any connections that are fastened to it and there are two screws holding the connection to the housing. Take out the screws and remove the resistor.
