1.Fantom GForce megadisk beeps frequently when copying. 2. message not responding, "switch to", but pictures being copied are on Fantom. Will they stay there?
Hard drive (external or internal) won't beep, unless there is mechanial faulty issue. You can test by plug in this fantom in to another computer (desktop or laptop) to see if it is recognized and can copy/transfer files. More than likely is going to die soon (based on what you described beep, and not responding). If you can, try to detach it and attach it back to computer and copy pictures as quickly as you can. At this point, to answer your question, pictures might still be there, unless hard drive is completely dead.
