Hi. I'm not sure why your system board only reports 1 gb, it supports 2 gb of memory.
The only thing I can think of is it is the wrong TYPE of ddr ram.
Your motherboard only supports pc3200 and pc4300 ddr2 ram, and it must be unbuffered. I t's either that, or you have somehow gotten mismatched memory form Kingston...i.e. one was unbuffered and the other module was a buffered one.
I hope you get it going properly, because that is a great motherboard, with SERIOUS performance built in. It is one of the few motherboards built to be overclocked. The only upgrade you should need is a video card, I know you have one built in, But an external video card takes the graphics load off of the processor and lets the video card due those functions, resulting in a way smoother and faster overall computer.
