Unplug the unit, unplug the unit, unplug the unit. Okay, now that I've said that, sounds like the blades are jammed or there is some debris along the outer diameter inside the drain. It happens often. Reach down into the drain...if your hands are small enough.See if you can feel anything along the inside diameter that might be seizing the unit. If so, see if you can remove it by hand. If not, use a small flat tip screwdriver to try and dislodge it. Now you can plug the unit back in. Safety First!!
