2 hp shallow well pump pumps to 45# of pressure rapidly, takes longer to get to 49# pressure and then takes 30 - 45 minutes to reach the 50 psi shut off pressure. The pump is hooked up to a Flotec bladder tank. Any suggestions on how to correct this problem? Thanks, Jerry Gapinski [email protected]

Those pumps will reach 50# when brand new, but soon the parts wear and then they will not make that pressure anymore...
Instead of replaceing the pump, just back the pressure down a tick or two to get it to shut off and not waste your electric....
