Hi, If you have gas up to the regulator and not after it then you need to replace it. I have taken them off and cleaned them with hot soapy water, dried throughly and reinstalled for a temporary fix, but do not recommend it for a long term. Seems that the grease from the kitchen envioronment can get in there and gum them up causing them not to work over time.
