You said you engine oil was low 1/2 quart? was it just changed? or does it use a little between changes? Sounds like a mis fire which would have to do with sparkplugs, spark plug wires and the coil pack. I have owned a 97 grand caravan.I know yours is the next gen but drivetrain were just about the same. I had a few fuel injector wires that would cause a mis every now and then. The check engine light will be the key, There will be a code stored in there that will guide you to your answer. If you have 100,000mi on it. Its time for a tune up.As for the 1/2 quart on the oil, sometimes "lube service" Fills to the full line on oil stick. The oil filter will hold just about a 1/2 quart. So if "Lube service" did not account for this, after you start your van and check the oil it will show just shy of 1/2 quart. I would suggest getting the engine code first (mfi lamp)
