200 GTL DX Night glow face plate
Hi I'm new here, but I was wondering if any one has had a problem with the night glow face plate getting dimmer, even when the dim switch is on high. Is there any bulletin out on this problem that you know of one wire? This is one of the main reasons I bought this radio, was for the lighted face plate. Many thanks...... Icepick 73

Icepick , there are diode in the radio to allow the voltage to flow to get those lights glowing. If the voltage is not at a specific level then you may have the problem you are describing. make sure you have 13.8 volts of power coming into the radio then check you voltage on T712 to make sure the voltage is ok also IC 5 . Check diodes 68 , 69, 71,72 for correct voltage . now you need a voltage chart. You will have to google it .
