2000 lincoln ls
Few days ago i noticed that my car seemed like every once in awhile it would pull to one side as if someone grabbed the steering wheel, but at the same time the steerinng wheel never moved??? it feels like its going in its own direction while i got total control of the wheel??? kinda like the steering wheel is not conected to the car???? alingment checked, it was ok...do you know what else the problem might be

Sounds like maybe a p/s rack issue, maybe a little sloppy rack action. Tough to know without looking at it. Probably not a variable pressure issue, if the wheel isn't moving, or maybe something else is loose. Either way, the front end and steering system need to be inspected by someone who knows what they're doing, because it seems like a major safety issue. Take it to a dealer for your best bet, they may charge over a hundred bucks just to tell you whats wrong, but they're the ones who know what they're doing with those cars.
