Hi, a good way of finding out if the bearing has gone is by doing one of a couple of things, the first thing to do is jack the car up so that the wheel you think has got the problem, now the first thing to try is wiggling the wheel from left to right as if your trying to turn it if their is play then the wheel bearing is more than likely gone, if how ever their is little or no play then you need to spin the wheel by hand and listen for any grinding noise this is also good indication wheel bearing has gone.
if how ever their is no play and no noise when spun the check things like bottom ball joint or track rod end, if the wheel has play when you try turning it from left to right then also have a look at the track rod end whilst doing this as any play here can give you false reading that the wheel bearing has gone.
Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
