2002 dodge stratus 2.7l need to know how far should I ratchet this chain tensioner back before activating it to the tensioner arm?
Anyone ever worked on these knows that the position of the tensioner is critical and purging all the oil out so if any one has any experience could you share that?

Tight(I tend to put a lot of pressure on them). Not really a preset for these. But before putting it all together. Turn the crank shaft(by hand) four revolutions and recheck the timing marks. If they are on the mark and the belt still feels tight. Throw it back together. If not, start over.
