This model uses two of the STK-392-110 CHIPS for convergence---two versions of this set---one has as you look from the back of the set a circuit board on the far right that has the chips and other parts.

I am going to attach 3 photos of this board--the first two show the board from either side and the third one shows the protection resistors--if you look close at that picture you will see two resistors burnt in the middle.

The other version of this set does not have a removable board like the one in the picture--entire chassis has to come up and replacement is done that way.

If you have the first one like in the photos--3 screws and a number of plugs and it comes right out--three of the plugs for that board are identical and you need to mark them carefully if you remove the board.

The two chips on the far right side (photo attached) can be purchased on EBAY for about 12 dollars--total parts cost if you can solder should be under 30 dollars.

I can tell you the seller there and if you decide to do it you can upgrade the parts by using stk-392-150 chips---same part but longer lasting.

If you want to do it let me know and I will give you a list of what you need---if you have the removable board it is a pretty easy set to fix.
