Yes the car has been put in lock down mode. There is nothing you can do to fix it. You will need to wait for the dealer to get to it when they can. It is part of the theft security system.
First of all, may I commend you for your taste in automobiles....Impeccable! Secondly, Your issue could be a number of things...Do not know how mechanically inclined you are, (most bently owners do not know squat about how to fix a car, you may, but if you don't, I know as do you, you have to pay up). Sorry for injecting an opinion, I realize it was not ask for please do not take ecception, and forgive me for profiling. ( I am an outspoken man), If you do have an inclination for the mechanical, you must first determine what part of your running issue is failing...there are 3 elements that must work in sinc for your engine to run...they are...electrical, (spark),: You must also have proper compression; you must have the correct fuel/air mix for the prevailing condition. (this is the most common failure), as a result of input from a number of sensors that detect engine temp, outside temp, humidity and air pressure, these sensors will send input to the PCM, (Your onboard computer), to determine the precise mix for the prevailing condition, then deliver it via your injectors. If you have a sensor faliure, your mix could be off, causing this problem, However, it could also be an electrical issue, delivering either the improper spark, or delivering it at the incorrect time... I would start your diagnostics with a code check. Given the year of your vehicle, this will need to be performed with an OBD II reader...at the least. Your Bentley Dealer will have a reader that will perform more in depth diagnostics than this generic device. However, if you wish to save $ you can have your codes read for free at most national parts chains such as Advance or Auto Zone. They will interpret these codes as well in hopes of selling you a part. if that does not reveal anything, you will likely have to endure more indepth and costly diagonstics by the Bently retailer...Good Luck! I hope you find this to be very helpful!
Imediately dying is a problem without fuel to sustain the combustion. Checking fuel filter and there is fuel at the input of the Fuel distributor. If there is fuel then my suspection is the injector module acts up not opening the injector so no fuel could be sprayed in to sustain the combustion. About the passenger seat belt, need to replace the retractable spool pool box. Good Luck.
Go adead and change it back. if the signal is hindered at all, the system does not geta clear read and thinks there is an issue. the seat belt is broken inside. the system uses a ratchet mechanism and if its locked up the only thing you can do is replace the unit.
at this point, call albers rols royce in indiana and they can tell you without a bunch of fuss (usually) what needs to be done. unfortunately my access to alarm info is limited. 317 873 2360. they are who i call when i get stuck on projects. amazing car by the way!!
hey call me real quick i just got off the phone with them but i need some info 951 208 9073/kori
Its really hard to know if the fuel pump failed or something in the ignition system failed without any testing. You will need a fuel pressure tester and a diagnostic scanner to even begin to know why.
If you have the tools then we can try to figure this out.??
If you do have security lockout then yes, it could of happened. By chance do you have another key.
If this is the case a code will be stored saying it did not reconize the key. It seems like you really have no choice but to get the codes first if any exist. No use tearing things apart if thats the case.
As far as the seatbelt the mechanism will have to be removed to see if the autolock is jammed. Its just a weight that is pulled forward when a quick **** is applied.
Rather than waste your time call a Bently dealer and tell them what you did. Not many people work on these and chances are someone is going to have to look in the PCM to see if you have a lockout. Starting and stalling after a key is not reconized is pretty standard for alot of makes. If this is the case your going to have to get the key reprogrammed.
