2003 Kia will go in reverse when you put it in drive you have to give it a lot of gas on the peddle to make it go forward and transmission slips. Would changing the filter fix this

First thing is to have the fault codes read as the problem could be servo/ solenoid or TCM
filters are not changed just cleaned
