2004 Kia sorento fuel pump getting no power, but it came on when i jumped the fuel pump relay. Already checked the the FP relay, FP and ECU fuse. Can anyone please help?
Has it been in a wreck recently? Some vehicles have a sensor than shuts fuel down when it senses a crash.Has it been in a wreck recently? Some vehicles have a sensor than shuts fuel down when it senses a crash.
Do you have an OBD II code reader? If you do not then you might try to find a cheap on or borrow one. Usually you could drive to your local auto part house to get codes for free but they don't make house calls. It sounds like you have an ignition problem. If the ECU does not sense ignition it will not provide power to the fuel pump relay. You can find complete diagnostic information at alldatadiy.com you will need a credit card to pay a fee for a one to 5 year access per vehicle then you will find all the information you need to diagnose the issue.
When checking for power to fuel pump are you using a test light or meter? If you bypass relay to get power to pump then most likely cause is bad relay or relay control circuit . Good luck

Check and test ignition system if problem will cause no start also check sensors such as crank if failed can cause same
