2005 dodge magnum, no prior transmission problems or any indication or prior issues, now transmission is stuck in the park position and will not shift out of park, rendering my car undriveable. Checked for leaks, there are none and all fuses are good. Car starts fine but will not shift out of park

What I did was dissasemble the shiftlinkage unit and pull the pink plastic cam and spring out that broke. this is only a temporary fix though because it means that anyone can get into your car press the brake and roll it away!!!
The shifter assembly is broken..it needs replaced
