Have you checked to see if the fans are working ? One way to check is by turning your A/C with vehicle running. The fans should run even if the car temperature is cold. If fan does not work, may want to begin diagnosis on electrical wiring and power supply to fan relay, temperature sensor and fans.
This is a preexisting problem. The work was done by a GMC dealership. I took it back and told them it was getting hot. Yes the car is overheating it goes into the red zone with bells ringing ,the coolant is bubbling. This is a preexisting problem. The work was done by a GMC dealership. Did you test the fans individually ? What did the dealer say after you informed them of the overheating problem ? All vehicle have a temperature sensor which turns the fans on, unfortunately, I do not know where it's located. Most of them are mounted somewhere in the radiator and others in a housing that mounted on or near the engine block. There is a relay that is part of the temperature sensor circuit that may be bad.Did you test the fans individually ? What did the dealer say after you informed them of the overheating problem ?
