Could be what Bruce said. Could be the HVAC drain plug is clogged. It is on the passenger side on the fire wall. A tube that comes out and attaches to nothing. Between the engine and mounted to the fire wall. They clog up from mold. I blow them out with air, then shoot a bit of water, several times to get the mold out. Just a note. shoot to much water in it, it will soak the passenger side carpet.
Good luck on this one. You have a notorious break in your volvo heater core. That is a real pain if you do it yourself. Look up the procedure on youtube before you attempt to replace it.
