2010 chev aveo ac quit has power to relay and fuse is good but wont kick compressor in. Can ground 1 pin on relay and it cuts on , any ideas of what is going on
Theres something keeping it from letting the relay close. These systems have multiple requirements before the compressor can run. Easiest would be to check refrigerant pressure. The pressure switch can keep the relay from closing. The problem will be getting a true reading- with a DIY kit you read low side pressure after system has been running for a minute or two. But if it's really low, you will be able to tell. Then you'll know you have a bad leak.
