Very common Ford problem. The issue is a stuck door switch plunger located at the bottom of the door latch (usually the driver's door because it's used the most.) Some people have had luck spraying WD-40 down into the latch and then opening and closing the door many times to free up the switch. If that doesn't work, you'll have to remove the door trim panel and replace the switch.
