21hp briggs and stratton starts and quits like it runs out gas have change filters. you wait a few minutes and will start again. it never come out of idle
Try lightly tapping on the side of the carburetor, the float may be stuck. I have had this happen on smaller old B&S engines, Also have had the float stick open, causing gas to overflow into the crank case, which can cause some real interesting effects
