2.3 = 250. If this is correct, the power to new selenoid should activate it, but it doesn't. Have checked furnance terminals & get same reading. Original Humidifier 1998 solenoid replaced in 2004, this one stopped recently. I'm I testing correctl? Other reasons why selenoid isn't working? Thanks

I am guessing you have sent 24 volts to the solenoid directly and the the solenoid did not activate?
If you have not send power directly
If the solenoid does not activate that way more then likely needs a new solenoid.
