250w fuse had blown during cooking,didnt have another ceramic fuse but replaced it with a glass 10 amp fuse , all electrics came on set the clock ok ,but when put it to cook blown straight away,should i get a ceramic fuse or do i have another problem thanks john

you have a problem with the microwave if its popping fuses it has a big problem they just dont pull that much,, if it popped another 10 amp 250 volt fuse its in need of looking at as there is a very big short inside of it,, how old is it??? and now there so cheap to buy would it be worth just getting a new one?,,,oh,,by the way,,,dont go poking about inside of it,, there is a very big capasitor in there and its a killer even if its un-pluged for weeks! have you ever seen a police stun gun working??? well this cap is no stun gun it makes them look like toys but they do bite realy hard even to the point of killing you out right! so please play it safe, just go and buy yourself a nice new microwave and live to show it off to your palls
