Everything is fixable it depends in getting a good diagnosis of the fault from an accredited repair shop and then deciding if the cost is worth repairing or replacing
Not really too much of an issue with the input being stuck on HDMI, more-so of operating the volume so i can hear programs. I'm not even sure a set of external speakers will work yet. I've read somewhere that I might have to get into settings to change the speaker output from tv only to some other setting, if it has that option. But since I can't get into the settings, i"m just gonna have to find a pair of external speakers and try them using the audio outputs.

The audio outputs are line outputs and do not have power to drive a speaker. The output voltage is going to be low. However if you have an audio equalizer you can feed the signal to the equalizer and raise all of the frequency controls to max. From zero db's every 3 db increase effectively doubles the signal - use equalizer output to drive an external amp and the speakers connected to it.The audio outputs are line outputs and do not have power to drive a speaker. If you can get input to work you might be able to work around it with a vcr tuner and remote. If channel 3 works you can hook up an external tuner.
Lots of different work arounds depending on just what you can get to work.
If nada, then you just might have to bite the bullet given the high cost of repairs and the relatively inexpensive prices for new ones.
